Back to school is right around the corner which means Back To School Shopping! With inflation and my tight budget as a mom of 5 I was looking for savings anywhere I could. I found some really good ways to save money while back to school shopping and wanted to share it with you.
- Make a list! This is honestly the best advice I can give anyone is to make a list. Speaking from experience if you do not make a list you WILL overspend. Get your children involved with the list. I have my children write a list of what they need and what new things they will like.
- Make a budget and stick to it. After going through their closet and taking note of what they have grown out of and what they will need is how I determine their budget. I go off the list that the children have given me and what the teacher request. If they have left over on there budget I will then go off the want list. This system seems to work great for our family.
- Rakuten is another way to save money if you are doing back to school shopping online. It is a website where you can get cash back on items you where already going to purchase. It is so easy to sign up and even easier to get cash back when you have the browser extension. Rakuten has honestly been a game changer. With inflation these days anything helps.
- Fetch has also been a favorite of mine for a while now. This is and app that you can download and upload any receipts you accumulate. It is so fast and easy! If you use my referral code 1MW3F when you join you will receive 100 points when you scan your first receipt.
Remember that saving money doesn’t mean sacrificing quality. By planning ahead, prioritizing your purchases, and taking advantage of discounts and sales, you can significantly reduce your back-to-school shopping expenses.I hope you found these tips and resources helpful!
